JVMCON, conference about Java and other JVM languages, provided a wide range of sessions on language features, project implementation and analysis of new tools and technologies.
We were especially impressed with 2 sessions:
Kotlin 102 – Beyond the basics (by Hadi Hariri)
Brilliant speaker with excellent knowledge of material managed to present this hottest topic in a very clear and precise manner, not only to demonstrate the capabilities of the language but also give arguments and reasons why a principle is used to build-up standard/system libraries and how to use the principle to create your own libraries.
Anticipating the fallacies of distributed computing with the Netflix OSS (by Tom Cools)
Very proficient expert, gave a substantial overview with examples of what tools can be used to build modern software architectures.
